Regional Results: Day 2

The Sandpoint boys team won the Regional Track Championships for the first time in nearly a decade, and girls girls took 2nd to Moscow by a 1 point 77 to 76 margin.

In the 1600, Mikhaela Woodward won her 3rd Regional Title of the school year, running a 5:30.63. Sydney Foster was 4th with a 5:54.29, Corri McClelland was 5th with a 5:58.11, and Emily Marshall was 7th with a 6:02.32. Sam Levora also won his 3rd Regional Title of the year, winning the race in a new school record time of 4:19.30. Jacob Graham was 7th in 5:06.64 and Adam Bourn was 8th with a 5:07.48.

The 800 was another exciting race. Matt Burgstahler ran a PR 1:59.17 for 2nd place, which is the first sub 2:00 800 in nearly 20 years. For the girls Bree Jones ran a 2:36.4 for 4th place, followed by Aubrie Perry (2:40.77), Cymbre Martin (2:40.77), and Corri McClelland (2:44.34) for 6th, 7th and 8th place.

In the 400, Tim Prummer won the Regional title, clocking a 50.21. Grant Kennaly was 4th with a 53.21 and Mark Kennaly was 5th with a 53.39. For the girls Lily DeAragon won the 400 meter Regional title with a 1:00.93.

It was an excellent meet, now it's off to Boise for the State Championships.
