SHSXC Coaches run the Wild Moose Chase

SHSXC Coaches Matt and Angie Brass competed in the Wild Moose Chase 25k trail race this Saturday at Mount Spokane. The race was all single track and dirt access road, and the temperature was 37 at the start of the race. There elevation gain over the course was about 3500 feet with two 1000 foot climbs. Angie won the women's race in a time of 2:12:56, which was a new course record by 16 minutes, and Matt won the men's race with a time of 1:52:38 with a finish kick to the secure win. Shawn and Michelle Woodward also ran the race. Michelle finished first in her age group and 8th overall, while Shawn was 7th in his age group and 25th overall.
