JV Regionals Results04/22/2014
11 Distance runners were in Coeur d'Alene on Tuesday to compete in the District 1/2 IEL JV Regional Track Meet. Mackenzie Wolfe started out the day with a 16 second PR in the 1600, breaking 7 for the first time running a 6:56.65 and taking fourth. In the boys 1600, Daniel Radford led all Sandpoint runners with a 5:25, placing 7th. Quinn Donnelly was 9th with a 5:33, followed by Matt Prince (5:50.37 PR), Riley McGinnis (5:58.02), Ike Rogers (6:29.04), Logan Finney (6:30.74), Broc Blaser (6:47.80), and Clifton Harris (6:49.77 PR).
For the 800, Matt Prince led the boys with a 2:32 PR performance, followed by James Bradley (2:38 tied PR), Riley McGinnis (2:44.96) and Ike Rogers (2:49.47). In the girls 800 race, Megan Cahill (3:44) and Jacqueline Owens (3:51) both set new PRs. James Bradley also ran his first ever 400, running a 1:00.76.
Finishing up the meet was the 3200. Quinn Donnelly tied his PR with an 11:52, and Daniel Radford set a new PR by 11 seconds by running a 12:05.

That is the sort of race which one really enjoys - to feel at one's peak on the day when it is necessary, and to be able to produce the pace at the very finish. It gives a thrill which compensates for months of training and toiling. But it is the sort of race that one wants only about once a season.
