Rasmussen Invitational Results

The Sandpoint track team was at Coeur d’Alene High School this weekend for the Rasmussen Invitational. The distance team continued to perform well, with six new personal records, multiple season PRs, and another school record.
Sam Levora ran his first 800 of the year, placing first and running a 1:57.57 which broke Preston Martin’s 19 year old mark of 1:58.3. Matt Cloud also ran the 800 in a 2:15, setting a 10 second PR. In the girls 800, Rainey Woodward continued to impress winning the race while leading wire to wire in a 2:25.87 with 12-15 mph winds on the backstretch. Bree Jones placed 7th with 2:40.
In the 1600, Sam Levora won with a time of 4:24.45. Jacob Graham was 7th with a 4:56, and Alan Orr 8th with a 4:57. Both Alan and Jacob set Person Records with their times. For the girls, Cori McClelland was 10th with as season PR of 6:02, Emily Marshall was 11th with a 6:15, and Dana Beaty was 13th with a season PR of 6:25.
The girls 3200 saw Mikhaela Woodward finish 2nd with an impressive time of 11:39, a season PR and 4 seconds off of her overall PR. Sydney Foster set another PR as well, coming in 5th place with a 12:36. For the boys race Andy McGinnis was 5th with an 11:18, and Adam Bourn was 8th with an 11:33. Andy set an overall PR with his performance.
In other events, Mark Kennaly ran a 54:00 to place 2nd in the 400. Lily DeAragon was also 2nd in the girls 400 with a 1:02. The boys 4x400 team of Kennaly, Levora, Burgstahler and Cox was 3rd with a 3:34, and the girls team of DeAragon, Orr, Woodward and Woodwrad was 4th with a 4:19. Sandpoint has 2 meets coming up this week, Tuesday at Lakeland for the Lakeland Relays, and Thursday at the District I Meet of Champions.
