Sandpoint tunes up at Lakeland Relays

The Sandpoint Track Team competed at the Lakeland Relays this Tuesday, and the distance team earned 7 firsts and 3 seconds at the event.

The girls team won the Distance Medley (400/400/800/1600 Grace Bradley, Lauren Orr, Hannah Davidson and Sharon Rowe), the Sprint Medley (200x200x400x800 with Qetzal Hogue 400, Mikhaela Woodward 800), the 2 person mile of Mikhaela Woodward and Lauren Orr, and the 4x800 Relay (Claire Pierce, Emily Marshall, Qetzal Hogue and Cori McClelland). The boys team won the Distance Medley (Mark Kennaly, Sam Powell, Kenny Kovalchuk and Jacob Graham), were second in the Sprint Medley (Kovalchuk/Kennaly for 400/800) and first in the 4x800 (Matt Cloud, Andy McGinnis, Fin Lund-Andersen and Sam Powell).

Other great performances included the 3rd place boys 4x800 made up of Peik Lund-Andersen, Clay Rasmussen, Cole Dillon and Ike Rogers, as well as the 2nd Place girls 4x400 team of Hannah Davidson, Emily Marshall, Claire Pierce and Qetzal Hogue. The next meet for Sandpoint will be the District I Meet of Champions on Thursday, April 30th.
