Megan Bartlett broke the Sandpoint 5k School record (and the course record) this Saturday, running the course in a blistering 18:10. She led her team to a second place finish along with Kat Vardell (5th place 20:19), Molly Burgstahler (9th place 20:31), Sarah Addington (28th place 23:37) and Calena Lawson (32nd place 24:17). Molly Burgstahler also qualified for #9 on the all time Sandpoint XC list with her time.
In the Varsity boys race, Danny Pfeifer led all runners with a 17:35 at 14th place. Tim Householter was 18th in a 17:48 and both qualified for the Sandpoint all time top 25 with there times. Matt Sisson ran a solid 3rd with an 18:07, Mason Foster climbed to 4th on varsity with a 18:36, and Evan Rains rounded out the top 5 with a 18:37. The boys were 5th out of 8 teams today.
The girls JV ran a great race today, finishing 1st in the meet. Audrey Shaw ran a PR 24:46 for 5th place and earned a spot on the varsity team for next week. Alena Horowitz was 8th with a 26:50, and Abbie Prummer ran a 3 minute PR for 27:38.
The boys JV placed second behind strong performances by Tony Charoz (1st place, 17:59), Galen MacDonald(3rd, 18:38), Josh Kopsa(8th 19:08), Dylan Hay(13th, 19:44), Ethan Kopiecki (16th, 19:55) and Andy Meyer (17th 19:56).
