The Sandpoint Boys Varsity ran well this Saturday at Riley Creek, placing 2nd to Coeur d'Alene and led by a 4th place finish from Danny Pfeifer, who covered the 5k course in 17:06. David Marienau continued to run well, placing 6th place in 17:15. Jimmy Matthews, Alex Charvoz, Evan Rains, Galen MacDonald and Chris Jones rounded out the top 7. Tim Householter will be returning to varsity for Regionals after a qualifying time trial.

The boys JV also placed 2nd, led by the steady smart racing of Brennen Chasse at a 20:00. Damen Rodriguez, Matt Pfeifer, Kipling Pedersen and Dylan Hay completed the top scoring 5 for the JV team.

The girls varsity were running without Molly Burgstahler this weekend, but ran well fueled by freshman Aubrie Perry in 21st with a 23:22. Becca Cloud was right behind with a 23:23, followed by Shanysa Reid, Miranda Ewing, Ashley Anderson, Lindsey Anderson and Mirasa Rains.

The girls JV placed 2nd, following and outstanding performance by placing 6 runners in the top 10. Hope Woodruff placed 3rd, Jenny Pujesek was 5th, Audrey Shaw 6th, Danette Mauke was 7th and Serena Fisher was 8th. The girls scored 15 points to win it.

The team's next race will be Regionals on Thursday October 22nd, at the Circling Raven Golf Course outside of Worley. The first race starts at 2:00 PM
