Sandpoint had 7 runners take part in the 4th annual NW Regional NXN Championships this past weekend. In the boys race, Danny Pfeifer led the Sandpoint Finishers, placing 27th out of 222 in the varsity race with a time of 17:20. Jimmy Matthews ran an 18:10 and Kevin Clyde finished his high school career with a PR time of 18:23.
For the girls, Molly Burgstahler led the way with a 22:20, followed closely by senior Hope Woodruff in a time of 22:33, a 1:22 PR. Becca Cloud ran a 23:14, and Audrey Shaw finished in a 25:09.
This wraps up the 2009 Sandpoint Cross Country season. Thanks for all the runners who came out for the team this year and good luck next season.
