Libby Invitational

The Sandpoint Boys Varsity and JV teams both placed 1st Friday
at the Libby Invitational. The boys scored 26 points, placing 2,3,4,6 and 11 in the race. Danny Pfeifer was 2nd overall, running the 3 mile course in 16:26 and moving to #1 on the all time SHS 3 mile list. Jimmy Matthews was 3rd overall with a 16:56, followed by Evan Rains (4th 17:05), Alex Charvoz (6th 17:15) and Mason Foster (11th 17:38).

In the JV race, Chris Jones was second overall to lead the boys to a first place team finish. Dakota Blease, Riley Hadeen and James Cartwright brought up a tight pack in 19:10, 19:10 and 19:11.

The Sandpoint girls varsity placed 3rd in the race, led by Molly Burgstahler. Molly was 8th overall with a time of 20:44. Aubrie Perry and Becca Cloud ran a 21:33 and 21:34 respectively to move into 13 and 14 on the all time 3 mile list. The varsity girls scorers were rounded out by Sydney Foster and Devan Fitzpatrick.

The JV girls placed 1st as well, led by Serena Fisher who won the race in a 23:35. Jenny Van Ooyen, Katie Hall and Katie Nicolich all place in the top 5 to pace the teams low score.
